Out of 700+ submissions from 3,071 registered developers — a record entry count for a Reddit hackathon —, Cattack! took the $5,000 Best Use of Phaser award, judged by our own Phaser panel. A hand-drawn card game about collecting cats in space, built in one month by a solo developer who had never built a tile-based map before 🐱🪐

Four more Phaser games picked up $1,000 honourable mentions: Myndrot (creature-collecting RPG built by two strangers 5,000 miles apart), Hearthvale (one shared village per subreddit), Delta-V Racing (graph paper racing in neon), and Gradient Descent (fly a spaceship by writing an equation). Two teams had never used Phaser before entering. All five shipped something finished in four weeks 🏆

⭐ Phaser AE v2.6: vector arcade games that finally feel complete

Solid vector graphics are here: filled faces with flat colours, gradients, radial fills and rainbow ramps, while keeping the glowing outlines that make vector games feel authentic.
